The weight lifting helps climbing to a degree (mostly with muscle balance and injury prevention), but the climbing does not help you lift more weight. Having a big squat, DL, or press doesn't really help you climb better (except the press helps mantleing, tho dips would be better). Want to get better at climbing? Climb more and do weighted pull ups.

The difference is that I am climbing 2-3 times a week instead of once a week. I am weightlifting less.
