Friday - mixed bag, some of which might be considered (cringe...) isolation exercises. Did 2 sets each (except the calf raises) of the following:
Hanging V-ups, with slow descent and L-hold at the bottom
15 sec. L-sits on paralettes
Wrist rollers to failure
Calf raises on Smith machine (maybe the one thing it's good for...) - 3 sets of 10 with 2, 4, and 6 plates
4-way neck curls w/ 25# plate - 10 reps each direction
Finished up with handstands and some crunches for good measure
Saturday AM at the track - after warm up of 400m jog and some skips, did:
2x100m
2x200m
2x400m
2x200m
2x100m

Nothing wrong with isolation exercises in moderation.
What's the impetus for these?
Basically, I didn't want to do anything too neurologically intensive. Tired but didn't want a complete rest day. Wrist rollers and neck work for injury prevention.
