Chris Friday


Worked on Oly technique with the bar only, mostly from the high hang position. In this order, worked OH squat, power snatch, cleans, clean & push jerk, split jerks, snatch balance, full snatch from high hang.

Then rode stationary bike for 30 min. hard

Worked on L hang and pike on the bar along with weighted decline situps

Cooled down with handstand practice and stretching*

*following a recommendation for The Weightlifting Encyclopedia (find it at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/Weightlifting-Encyclopedia-Guide-World-Performance/dp/0965917924 ), I have included stretching in the receiving postion (bottom) of the snatch with either a stick, or one of those foam-covered weighted bars. I think it has improved my ability to OH squat low and snatch correctly.
