Inspired by Melanie

Exercise makes me feel better. I guess I'd better keep it up. I still haven't done a kb swing, but I do own a 25# kb. Isn't that worth something?

I did Saturday's WOD with modified weights and reps:

10-9-8-7-6 reps of the triplet:

Deadlift: 8o#
Bench press: 60#
Clean and press: 50#

Some guy helped me with my form on Deadlifts. Apparently, I was overusing my lower back. Now that he told me, I think my lower back hurts.

yeah, it's worth about $60.

I bet that guy was psyched your form was off, since it gave him a chance to talk to the hot chick who lifts heavy things.

but there's a very good chance that he was giving you bad advices too - independent of the fact that he was macking on you.

Like Rippetoe says, your body geometry will determine how upright your back is. As long as you were keeping your low back tight and flat your form was probably OK. However, rounding is a problem, and you my not know you are doing it, since you can't see yourself from the side. Anyway, don't forget that DLs are supposed to be a back/posterior chain exercise!

What Chris said - you're back is supposed to feel the DLs.
