Chris Tuesday

Did kickboxing class today (1 hour) -
warm up w/ jump rope, etc.
4x2 min. rounds of "light" boxing (hands only) sparring
2x2 min. rounds of kick/punch combination on heavy bag
4 rounds of entering drills - punch combo on mitts, then shoot and lift
these drills alternated with jump rope
6x1 min. tie-up/clench drill

Plan to do 10-10-10-10-10 front squats tonight.

Did a warm up set of 10 w/ bar only, then a set of 10 OH squat w/ bar before putting some weight on. I had hoped to go maybe 135lb., but wound up doing 4 sets w/ 95 lb. because holding the bar in the clean position for 10 reps was so damned uncomforatble. I widened my grip a little and by the last set, it really didn't hurt too badly. I think it's just a matter of getting some more flexibility in the wrists and elbows. Not much work for the legs, but all the stabilizing work got my core pretty good.
