I'm Karen. I've been Melanie's friend since college. Nina and I have been doing crossfit for about a week, and we've been blogging to each other, but we need a little more camaraderie. I asked Melanie if we could join you, and I'm really happy you said yes. Thank you!
My workout today was
10 GHD sit ups
10 Hip and Back extensions
40 Lb thrusters, 15 reps
10 pull-ups (with a little hop to get me started).
I repeated three times, but on the last one I only did 5 pull-ups and 10 reps of the thrusters.
Then I rode the paddleboat twice around a lake with my daughter, Maddy Bee.
I'm pretty excited about Crossfit.

Karen and Nina are going to plan a girls' weekend to Nashville and attend one of our weekend workouts.
Right?
I knew Karen would take to this like a duck to water--she's been doing pull ups as party tricks since college. Literally. She can also do the worm.
Right. We're going to visit for the weekend in 6 months as a reward to us for how hard we work. I guess we'd better work hard. Also as a 6-month reward - we get slinky new dresses!
Welcome Karen and Nina! Glade we can share the pain.
Christine won't let me wear slinky dresses anymore.
And we all thank her for it.
